Disney's The Little Mermaid Jr. Camp Information

This is a two-week day camp setting. Attendence is necessary for both weeks. Camp will run Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The dates are June 16-20 and June 23-27. Show dates are June 27 at 7:00 pm and June 29 at 5:00 pm with a possible optional performance on July 4 in the afternoon.

In order to not have to cancel this camp, we are dropping the price. If you have already registered, this new price reduction applies to you as well. Cost of the camp is $200 . That works out to about $3.50 an hour, better than daycare! This includes keepsake script and two tickets per show. It also covers the cost to produce the show with music, rentals, professional fees, costumes, sets, props and marketing.

Structure:
Week 1: We will accept every applicant, wether they want to be on stage or back stage. Monday all day and Tuesday morning will be spent getting to know each other, learning some fun theatre games, some songs and dances. Week one activies are tied to Michigan Performing Arts Content Standards.
Auditions will be Tuesday afternoon, and each featured role will be double cast. What that means is that your student may be "Sebastian" on the Friday night show, and then a seagull on the Saturday night show. We want to give as many kids the chance to shine for their families as we can. If your student is more interested in learning lights and sound, that is awesome too! our crew kids will be recognized at each performance and not have to sing in front of a croud of people if they don't want to.
Week one will be spent learning basic stagecraft and exploring the Disney Jr. Musical. Week two will be continuing the learning process and applying it to the preperation of the actual performance. Costume fittings, makeup checks, vocals, dance, lines and more!
